Master of Music Marja de Jong geeft haar 30e Harpsong Concert voor de Aarde in de ROTTERDAMSE Citykerk, Hang 18, op 4 augustus 2023 van 20-21 uur, open: 19:30.
Vanwege het 60-jarig bestaan van Mensa Nederland gaat 50% van de winst naar het Mensa Fonds. De overige 50% gaat naar het Rotterdams Milieu Centrum.
Het concert vindt plaats tijdens de 'Jaarlijkse Europese Mensa Bijeenkomst 2023' (EMAG23). De kerk ligt op vijf minuten loop afstand van de WTC.
Na afloop meet & greet bij de CD/ bladmuziek tafel onder genot van koffie/ thee/ sapje (neem svp wat contant geld mee).

Master of Music Marja de Jong will give her 30th Harpsong Concert for the Earth in the ROTTERDAM Citykerk, Hang 18, on August 4, 2023 from 8-9 pm, open: 7:30.
Because of the 60th anniversary of Dutch Mensa 50% of the profit goes to Mensa Fund. The other 50% goes to the Rotterdam Environmental Center.
The concert takes place during the 'European Mensa Annual Gathering 2023' (EMAG23). The church is a five minute walk from the WTC.
Afterwards meet & greet at the CD/ sheet music table while enjoying coffee/ tea/ juice (pls, bring some cash).

Harpsong Concert for the Earth - Marja de Jong (Master of Music) sings with harp and other instruments in 6 languages about love, life, light, and nature.  Something for everyone: her repertoire ranges from Medieval to Folk, and Meditative to Swing.

This singer, conductor, composer and multi-instrumentalist studied several main subjects at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Marja's warm voice kisses awake the primal wisdom in the hearts of the listeners. “With an open heart we make wiser choices,” she says.

Core of the concert, inspired by Francis' message 'Make me an instrument that sows light, love, hope and joy', is Marja's composition 'Trilogy for the Earth'. First ignorant in the lament 'Notre Terre', then with green eyes in the ode 'Con los ojos verdes', and finally thankful with 'For the beauty of the Earth'.

Marja de Jong (Master of Music) zingt met harp en andere instrumenten in 6 talen over liefde, licht, leven en de natuur. Voor ieder wat wils: haar repertoire varieert van Middeleeuws tot Folk, van Meditatief tot Swing.

Deze zangeres, dirigent, componist en multi-instrunentalist studeerde meerdere hoofdvakken aan het koninklijk conservatorium te Den Haag. Marja's warme stem reikt naar  de harten van de toehoorders, om daar de oerwijsheid wakker te kussen.  “Met een open hart maak je wijzere keuzes,” zegt ze.

Kern van het concert, geïnspireerd door Franciscus' boodschap 'Maak me een instrument dat licht, liefde, hoop en vreugde zaait', is Marja's compositie 'Trilogy for the Earth'.
